Fort Myers Beach Pirate Fest, Fla.

The 12th Annual Fort Myers Beach Florida Pirate Festival on Old San Carlos Boulevard, Ft. Myers Beach, FL., begins with a boom (aka cannons firing). Be on the lookout as pirates invade the docks beside Matanzas Pass at Fort Myers Beach. There is live music, pirate ship rides, live mermaids and other themed events. Or you can opt for the pub crawl and the scavenger hunt.

The bands of roving pirates will vie for the prizes for biggest returning crew. The opening cannon will sing at 10am both Saturday October 10th and Sunday October 11th followed immediately by the Pirate’s Parade down Old San Carlos Boulevard in Ft Myers Beach, Florida A Great Place for a Pirate festival. The parade will continue into Times Square and back down the boulevard, where the stage will be set for a fun, family friendly Pirate Festival! There will be lots of activities for the wee ones, including a children’s fishing tournament, stage shows, a treasure hunt, and face painting.

There will be plenty of period vendors on hand to supply the aspiring pirate with garb and swag, so come out and get dressed, or add that piece you have always wanted to your costume. All the restaurants and bars along the street will be serving plenty of food and drink, and will be open late! The highlight of the day will be an epic ship to shore sea battle with blazing cannons, plundering pirates and sailing ships. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the biggest, most spectacular sea battle on the water! There will be parties all along the boulevard on Saturday night, so check in often to find the latest information!

I lost me wooden chicken at the fish house, but a search crew was sent and it was recovered and returned! Pillage, plunder and recover lost goods!

No, but I lost a hand held fan at the Sunset Grill on Saturday night, made with real feathers similar to flat turkey feathers. 😐😣

Lori, did ye mutinous drinking vessel scuttle itself again?

Arabella????

As the closing cannon sounded the conclusion of the 12th Annual Fort Myers Beach Pirate Festival, my thoughts were on the incredible outpouring of support the show received, particularly after all the obstacles thrown our way. The actors, actresses, gunners, creators of the encampment, and organizers of the galley, donated their talents, time, and effort to see the festival retain it's soul and good energy. This is what pirates do, but never have I seen it taken to this level. The Chamber of Commerce really made this labor of love shine, and the business owners and sponsors were amazing. To the various pirate crews who came out to enjoy the weekend, I thank you for your camaraderie. All I can say is that I am humbled. Until we gather together again, may your sails be full and your mug be bottomless!
With much love,
Admiral Belinda
