Fort Myers Beach Pirate Fest, Fla.

The 12th Annual Fort Myers Beach Florida Pirate Festival on Old San Carlos Boulevard, Ft. Myers Beach, FL., begins with a boom (aka cannons firing). Be on the lookout as pirates invade the docks beside Matanzas Pass at Fort Myers Beach. There is live music, pirate ship rides, live mermaids and other themed events. Or you can opt for the pub crawl and the scavenger hunt.

The bands of roving pirates will vie for the prizes for biggest returning crew. The opening cannon will sing at 10am both Saturday October 10th and Sunday October 11th followed immediately by the Pirate’s Parade down Old San Carlos Boulevard in Ft Myers Beach, Florida A Great Place for a Pirate festival. The parade will continue into Times Square and back down the boulevard, where the stage will be set for a fun, family friendly Pirate Festival! There will be lots of activities for the wee ones, including a children’s fishing tournament, stage shows, a treasure hunt, and face painting.

There will be plenty of period vendors on hand to supply the aspiring pirate with garb and swag, so come out and get dressed, or add that piece you have always wanted to your costume. All the restaurants and bars along the street will be serving plenty of food and drink, and will be open late! The highlight of the day will be an epic ship to shore sea battle with blazing cannons, plundering pirates and sailing ships. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the biggest, most spectacular sea battle on the water! There will be parties all along the boulevard on Saturday night, so check in often to find the latest information!

It is with great sadness that we must inform our pirate community of the loss of the Fort Myers Beach Pirate Festival. The beach has decided to sponsor the Offshore Powerboat Races instead of continuing to host our beloved Pirate Fest. I will, as the Admiral, seek a new venue. Please look here for updates. ... Cape Coral Yacht Club! You need a new spot, and the Cape needs more things like that. I'll help of needed. It's my hometown and I know some folks.

Hope they enjoy their crappy, smelly, algae-infested water for their boat races 👍👍🤣😂

What? I loved Pirate 🏴‍☠️ Fest. Bummer, now where am I going to wear my plastic shoulder parrot 🦜?

It’s all about the Benjamin’s

Little by little big $$$ takes the fun of small cozy fun towns.... sad to hear..... we used to go... I guess not anymore...

Whom should we write to to express our discontent to?

Let me know if you want to combine forces with SWFLSteamCon for our event SEPT 14 -- we'll be at the Crowne Plaza hotel this year so not the best venue for everything but maybe we could figure something out -- Pirates (especially steampunk pirates) are welcome to attend...

This is unfortunate. The 2nd largest Pirate Festival in the USA being keel hauled. Sad.

this is such a disappointment 😩

The loss of your fun festival saddens my heart. Hoping you find a new perfect venue. Fun seems to be losing hold in Lee County.

Their bloody loss

Come up to Punta gorda!

So sorry to hear this. I really enjoyed it.

There will always be new places to explore and times to get together.

Very sad to hear.

They should share event with pirate's we liven up place

What about downtown? I heard it was once held there is that correct?

I guess that 15.00 outfit I can sell now?

Oh no!!!!! That really surprises me!!! That is an annual thing i looked forward to since moving here. Is riverside park too small?

I don't see why they cant do both...

Bummer, thank you for all you do xoxo

Such a loss, it was a great event

Praying a new location is found sweet Belinda

How about a kickstarter to fund it?

We loved being there during the pirate festival
